Session Chair is quite simple. You are managing a presentation with multiple speakers and you set the order, the start time and the duration, then Session Chair does the rest. When it’s time for the first speaker to start, you touch the start button. You can then display the time remaining screen on your iPad and point it toward the speaker so he knows how much time he’s got left.
The time remaining display is configurable so it can turn yellow when the speaker’s near the end and then red when he’s very close to the end. You can even specify how much time there is between speakers. Speakers don’t change on a dime!
Session chair keeps track of the projected start and end times for all the speakers in the session. You can even include coffee breaks in the presentation by creating them just like any other speaker.
The most unique feature in Session Chair is the ability to reallocate time on the fly. Suppose you only have the conference center until a certain time and the second speaker runs long. You can have Session Chair reallocate the remaining time so each speaker’s time is proportionately reduced.
And lastly, when you’re all finished, Session Chair will email you the data file if you like.
